    PREP AND PERSONAL: Earned four letters in both softball and basketball ... played her junior and senior seasons at Penn High School in Mishawaka, Ind., and freshman and sophomore seasons at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Mich. ... was the conference MVP and a finalist for the Indiana Miss Softball award in captaining Penn to the state championship as a senior in 1999 ... a two-time all-state, all-conference and all-city selection at Penn ... set Penn High School record for most home runs in a season ... named Northern Indiana Conference rookie of the year in her first year at Penn ... earned similar honors at Ann Arbor Pioneer, helping the team to two conference and two regional championships ... two-time all-conference and all-city honoree for Pioneer ... father, Greg, is part of the defensive coaching staff for the Notre Dame football team ... younger brother, Brian, plays football at Iowa ... born April 26, 1981, in LaCrosse, Wis. ... graduated in May of 2003 with an American studies degree.
