Prior to taking over the novice program, he had spent four years coaching the varsity fours. In addition to his coaching duties, Schlosberg also is responsible for alumni relations and equipment management.

During Schlosberg's tenure, his Irish crews have won 11 gold medals at the BIG EAST Championships as Notre Dame has won an unprecedented five straight conference titles from 2004-08.

Since joining the Irish, Schlosberg has been a key part of the program's tremendous success at the national level. In 2006 and 2007, Notre Dame earned the program's first two NCAA Championship team bids. The Irish finished ninth in their first-ever appearance in '06 and followed that up with a 12-place finish in '07.

En route to capturing its fifth straight BIG EAST crown in 2008, Notre Dame became the first school in conference history to sweep all six races that included wins from the novice eight and novice four boats. The win by the novice eight boat was the first-ever for an Irish crew at the BIG EAST Championships.

In '07, his novice eight crew began the spring season by winning its first seven races and finished second at the conference championship.

In '06, the novice eight won the Petite Final at both the San Diego Crew Classic and Central/South Region Championships and finished second at the BIG EAST Championships en route to the Irish league title for the third straight year.

In Notre Dame's first team appearance in the NCAA Championships in '06, the varsity eight finished seventh, the varsity four took 11th and the second varsity eight posted a 12th-place finish.

During his tenure working with the varsity fours, Schlosberg helped lead those crews to four consecutive gold medals at the BIG EAST Championships as the Irish swept both the varsity and second varsity four races in '05. At the Central/South Region Championships in '04 and '05, Notre Dame's fours did extremely well with the varsity four finishing fifth both years in the Grand Final event.

In '02, Notre Dame experienced its best season at the time as the varsity eight qualified for its first NCAA appearance and achieved its first top-10 ranking in school history. In '04, the varsity eight finished 11th overall in its second appearance.

Schlosberg came to Notre Dame after serving as an assistant rowing coach at Northwestern in 2000-01. With the Wildcats, Schlosberg worked with the men's novice team and assisted with the men's and women's varsity squads, teaching the fundamentals of rowing and designing workout programs. He also was responsible for all of the rowing equipment.

A native of New Jersey, Schlosberg worked with some of the elite collegiate rowing coaches during the summers of '01 and '02 at the Northeast Rowing Center in Maine.

A 2000 graduate of Northwestern with a degree in mechanical engineering, Schlosberg competed for the Wildcats' crew team from 1996-2000. He was captain in 1998-99 as his team won the Midwest Sprints and the Big Ten Sprint Championship in 1998.

Schlosberg was an executive board member of the rowing team from 1998-2000, as well as the team's marketing assistant and equipment manager. In addition to his coaching responsibilities at Northwestern, Schlosberg worked as a project engineer at ITW Buildex in Itasca, Ill.
