Bulfin, Stoner finish near top of 39-diver field.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Junior Michael Bulfin of the University of Notre Dame men's diving team locked a third-place finish in the 3-meter event during Friday's NCAA Zone C Diving meet host by Ohio State at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.

Bulfin - who was fifth in the event during the 2007 Zone C meet - totaled 666.35 points and was tailed by Irish senior Sam Stoner, who checked in at sixth with a score of 639.80. Steven Crowe was the third Irish diver to finish in the top 15 by placing 13th with a combined score of 592.10.

Ryan Jefferson of Ohio State won the event with a score of 684.65.

The meet, which is hosted by Ohio State, resumes on Saturday with the 1-meter event. Live results are available at divemeets.com.
