AS A SENIOR: Will serve as an assistant captain during the 2003 season • crafty player who battled injuries throughout all of last season • looks to regain the form and level of play he enjoyed during his sophomore year in 2001 • gifted athlete with tremendous talent • handles the ball extremely well, especially under pressure • has a calm and positive demeanor on the field • superb offensive threat with proven goal-scoring ability • will look to be productive offensively this season • if he remains healthy will add a considerable firepower to Irish attack.

AS A JUNIOR: Came off the bench in all 21 of Notre Dame’s games in 2002 • tallied three goals and dished off two assists • scored his first goal in Notre Dame’s 5-1 win over Providence • his unassisted goal at the 51:01 mark of the contest gave the Irish a 2-0 advantage over the Friars • netted second goal of the season in 2-0 win at home against Michigan State • scored second Irish goal off an assist from Kevin Goldthwaite at the 64:40 mark of the contest • dished off one of the two assists on Greg Martin’s game-winning goal in 2-1 double overtime victory over #7 Furman • tallied third goal of the season off an assist from Chad Riley at the 36:00 mark of the contest versus Villanova which gave the Irish a 4-0 advantage in eventual 5-0 victory • credited with one of two assists on Erich Braun’s goal in BIG EAST quarterfinal match versus Georgetown • named to the all-tournament team at Mike Berticelli Memorial Soccer Tournament.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Third-team all-Great Lakes Region • played in all 19 games and earned 18 starts in 2001 • Notre Dame’s second-leading scorer with six goals and six assists (18 points) after scoring just one goal during his freshman season • his only non-start of the season was against Clemson • dished off first career assist against fifth-ranked Furman which put the Irish up 1-0 13:41 into the contest • registered the first multiple-goal game of his career when he scored two goals and dished off an assist against West Virginia • his goal at the 66:11 mark of the contest on an assist from Chad Riley marked the first of his career • put Notre Dame up 2-0 in the contest when he scored at the 76:27 mark off of a feed from Erich Braun • tallied the game-tying goal with eight seconds remaining off an assist from Justin Detter in come-from-behind 2-1 overtime victory against Syracuse • had a goal and an assist in 2-1 win at Virginia Tech • dished off one of the two assists on Braun’s game-winning score against sixth-ranked Indiana and then had a goal and an assist in 2-0 win over Boston College • also had a goal and an assist in 4-0 win over IUPUI • earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career on Oct. 15 following his performances against West Virginia and Virginia Tech • named to the Umbro/Spinx Furman Invitational All-Tournament Team.

AS FRESHMAN: Made two starts in the 12 games he played and scored one goal • earned his first career start in Notre Dame’s 2-1 win over Villanova and also was in the starting lineup against IUPUI • tallied his first collegiate goal in the season opener against New Mexico off an assist from Dustin Pridmore at the 79:54 mark of the contest • missed four games — Cleveland State, Seton Hall, Connecticut and Pittsburgh — because of a foot injury.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Selected to the NSCAA/adidas All-America team as a senior • two-time Georgia Player of the Year as selected by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA) • 1999 Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Georgia • attended the adidas Elite Soccer Camp in both ’97 and ’99 • four-year member of the Region III Olympic Development Team, as well as Region III regional squad • Under-15 national pool member in ’96 • during his four-year career at Lassiter, scored 36 goals and dished off 35 assists in 60 games played • finished first all-time in goals scored at Lassiter • scored only goal for United Quest in 2-1 loss to Paraguay in 1999 • led that squad to Under-18 Tampa Sun Bowl championship in ’99 • named league’s Best Offensive Player three consecutive seasons • competed in tournaments in England and France with club team • led United Quest to two consecutive semifinal appearances at Dallas Cup in both ’98 and ’99 and three straight Georgia Open Cup crowns • brother David played soccer at Georgia State University • born Dec. 5, 1981 • son of Hubert and Joan Prescod • enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters as a political science major.
